What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing your own portfolio of early to late‑stage mortgage arrears from end to end
- Working through 90+ day arrears, including hardship, recovery and mortgagee‑in‑possession matters
- Having confident, sometimes challenging conversations to reach fair outcomes for customers
- Identifying risks, handling complaints (including AFCA) and escalating issues where needed
- Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders such as legal, valuers and solicitors
- Playing a key role in keeping arrears low and minimising losses to the business
About You
You bring solid experience in mortgage collections within financial services and are confident managing accounts across early to late‑stage arrears. You understand the end‑to‑end collections process, including hardship, recovery and mortgagee‑in‑possession, and you’re comfortable navigating relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
You’re organised, accountable and able to plan your own day, managing a high‑volume workload without needing close supervision. Confident in your communication style, you’re able to handle difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism, balancing customer outcomes with commercial realities.
You’ll thrive in a small, collaborative team environment where trust, ownership and resilience matter. You enjoy getting exposure across the full lifecycle of a loan, learning as you go, and contributing to a culture that values practical problem‑solving, continuous improvement and getting the job done well.
