Senior FP&A Analyst

You’ll be joining a collaborative and engaged team of 130+ people based in our Melbourne HQ - think onsite badminton courts, weekly fitness classes, end of trip facilities and sweeping 26th floor views.

 

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • Prepare monthly financial results and variance analysis for board reporting and senior management review 
  • Analyse the consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, identifying key trends, business drivers and variances to plan 
  • Consolidate and report on departmental expenditure against budget, managing the monthly review process 
  • Review and challenge key assumptions underpinning the operating funding model to support robust cash flow forecasting and budgeting outcomes 
  • Deliver product pricing and profitability analysis, providing commercial insights on revenue streams and product delivery costs 
  • Prepare financial analysis, charts and insights to support ad hoc senior management and board presentations 
  • Partner with teams across the business, including Customer Experience and PMO, to support retention initiatives and broader business priorities 
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, including regular reforecasting of short and long-term profitability 
  • Provide analysis and forecasting to support loss provisioning, capital planning and monthly operating cash flow forecasts 
  • Support investment decisions and business cases through objective analysis and financial modelling, including NPV and IRR analysis 
  • Conduct market and industry peer analysis to inform senior management and board decision-making 
  • Continuously improve financial models, processes and reporting to drive greater efficiency, accuracy and business insight

About You 

You are commercially minded with strong attention to detail, and bring FP&A experience within financial services, preferably with funds management or securitisation experience. 

You’re confident communicating with senior stakeholders and can work closely with the senior finance team to support outcomes across the business. 

 

You have the ability to improve systems, processes, and efficiencies, and are comfortable working across different parts of the business to drive these improvements. 

You bring strong Excel skills, including the use of Power Query (preferred), with a good working understanding of treasury also preferred. Experience across traditional FP&A, including Opex and budgeting, is also preferred. 

 

You hold a CA, CPA or CIMA qualification. You take ownership of your work, work independently, and are comfortable managing your own deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
