What can a Third Party Authority do?
A Third Party Authority gives someone else permission to speak to your lender about your loan on your behalf. This formal arrangement allows your assigned representative to:
Speak to RedZed about your accounts
Obtain loan information
Alter direct debit dates and/or amounts
What permissions are included?
Your Third Party Authority can typically make enquiries on your behalf and access your loan details. However, it does not usually grant them the legal authority to make changes to your loan structure or accounts, or make financial decisions without your authorisation or signature.
Can you change your Third Party Authority?
If you'd like to cancel a third party's access to your loan information, simply lodge a request via email or call our client services team.
Keep in mind, the form itself can't be revised—if you need a new Third Party Authority, you'll have to submit a new form. You'll also need to provide two forms of ID for each Third Party Authority, one of which must be photo ID.
How do you choose the right authorised representative?
Choosing the right Third Party Authority representative is all about trust, reliability, and alignment with your financial goals. Consider your options carefully and select someone who possesses:
Experience
Reputation
Trustworthiness
Communication skills
